Humming Bloom is an interactive sound installation that explores how to make sound from things that aren't instrument.
This project invites the audience to touch different parts of the flowers to trigger sound played by Max. Being touched by anything conductive can make it happen, including pouring water into the vase. One flower triggered the melody, and will be replayed every time being touched. The other one triggered different notes, that are tongue drum notes recorded by me and will play randomly. The duration of touch affects how many notes will be played continuously. By touching the flowers, the audience gets to ‘play’ flowers like an instrument.
